Congratulations to the Guildford District who retained the 8-bell trophy at the inter-District striking competition held at Yorktown on 28th October. The results were as follows:
1st – Guildford District: 32 faults
2nd – Farnham District: 36 faults
3rd – Leatherhead District: 46 faults

The judge was Peter Niblett from the Winchester & Portsmouth Guild, who commented that the overall standard of ringing was very good, there were no significant method mistakes by any of the bands and the peal speeds ranged from 2hrs 55mins (Farnham band) to 3hrs 4mins (Guildford band).
