Ring for the King!

Ring for the King! Bellringers across the country are making plans to “Ring for the King” at his coronation next May – www.englishcathedrals.co.uk

What is Bell Ringing? Bell Ringing is an activity like no other – a unique mix of physical exercise with mental agility that is part of our history but still practiced & evolving today.

Why Bell Ringing? Bell Ringing is great fun! There are about 40,000 bellringers in the UK, and 40,000 people can’t be wrong – it’s a great hobby socially too!

When do we ring? Each tower generally rings on a Sunday & has a mid-week practice night. There are also many & varied socials!

Who can learn to ring? Most people are aged between 10 and 70. You never know it all, there’s always something new to learn. Ringing is multi-denominational – there are ringers from all religious and ethnic backgrounds. You do not need to be musical or strong!

How do we train? Ringing can appear challenging, so we train each individual action and then link them together, building your bell control with each step.
