The BBC is running a ‘Music Day’ on 3rd June and they say:

Church bells are a wonderful symbol of community cohesion and since Music Day is all about uniting people through music, we’d love to find a way to make bell ringing a part of BBC Music Day this year.  We’re exploring the possibility of bells ringing around the UK, from our cities, from our towns and villages all at the same time at 7pm on Music Day.

This announcement has only just reached us and so far the Guild has not prepared a formal response and is leaving it to individual towers to consider how they might respond. If you do have any ideas, please let myself or Jackie Roberts know.
