As we head into Christmas, I thought I should update you on the plans that we have coming up.
First of all we have our next practice, at Chobham on Saturday 5th at 4:30pm until 6pm – I hope you can make the last one of 2015.
The first practice of 2016 will be Saturday 9th January, possibly at Ewell, and hopefully early enough in the year that Harriet Armitage can join us and tell us what Oxford is like!
We have two important dates already in the diary for 2016:
The South East England Striking Competition (that we are hosting) at Epsom Common on April 2nd. More details to come in the new year, but we have Hertfordshire, Winchester and Portsmouth, Surrey, and Sussex already coming, so it should be a good contest!
The Ringing World National Youth Contest in central London on July 2nd. The arrangements are not finalised, but the towers open are likely to include the Jubilee bells at Garlickhythe, and the new ring of ten on Fleet Street at St Dunstan in the West. As a day out ringing it should be excellent, so please put the date in the diary now!
I am also looking at possibilities for an outing during the summer – keep you informed on that as I get some suggested dates and venues.
