Holy Week Training – 31st March 2015 – Reminder‏

Hi All,

A reminder that this year’s Holy Week Training Evening is on Tuesday 31st March, so just a week to go. Thank you to those who have already responded.

We now have 3 activities:

The first is the ever popular Belfry Maintenance Course. This will be run at St Nicolas, Guildford starting at 8pm (there is a 7:30pm service).

The second course will be a workshop on Tower Captaincy and Running a Practice. This will be held at the Education Centre at the Cathedral, starting at 7:45pm.
I hope this will be of particular interest to current and aspiring Tower Captains and Ringing Masters, and those interested in getting a better understanding of running a practice. In the current ringing environment anyone can find themselves being asked to run a practice, so how would you go about it?

The third session will again be held at the Education Centre at the Cathedral, starting at 7:45pm, and will cover the requirements and processes for gaining Diocesan approval and a faculty to carry out major maintenance, changes and augmentations to church bells and towers, and will also cover the work of the DAC. This will be run by Malcolm Loveday and will have particular relevance to those interested in submitting a proposal in relation to the Bridget Gordon Legacy Competition.

If you would like to attend any of these training opportunities, and have not already let me know, please email me so I can put your name down for the relevant course.

Regards,
Mike.
