Post to this site
You can post directly to the News or District pages on this website. You don’t need to log in, but your posts will need approval at first and material that doesn’t meet our criteria will not be published. When writing a post, please consider data privacy laws. Do not write anything that could not be printed on the front page of a family newspaper, especially personal information. Please avoid criticism or complaint. Should there be any problems, please email a Guild Officer.
Email is a good way to keep in touch with activities in The Guild and to share information with other people in the local ringing community. The Guildford Guild Districts operates an email subscription service that allows you to send and receive messages from other ringers in the different Districts. This service uses Google groups but you don’t need a Google account to sign up.
Keep in touch & join now
Subscribing takes just a few moments, you do not need a Google account – just your normal email address. Simply send a blank email to your chosen District:
You will receive a confirmation email from the system. Please reply according to the instructions contained in the message.
Send group emails
Once you are subscribed you can send a message to everyone on in the group simply by addressing an email to the group email address. Google will instantly forward your email to everyone in the Group and you can add attachments to your email in the usual way.
Mailing List Homepages
For further information and support on the Guildford Guild Google groups, visit their home pages.
If you no longer wish to receive emails from our group or if you are changing your email address please unsubscribe by sending a blank email to
Alternatively there is an unsubscribe link on the bottom of every email.
Changing your email address
Following the instructions above please unsubscribe your old address and then send a new subscription request from your new email address.
Avoid messages being classed as junk
If you are not receiving messages from your District Email Group, please check your Junk (or Spam) folder. If you find a message from a District Email Group, then set it to ‘never block this Group or mailing list’ (or equivalent option on your system.)
If you really don’t want to get messages from a group, you can unsubscribe – see the instructions above. Don’t set it as ‘Junk’ as this could blacklist our Group, which would affect all users.
