The competition took place at Banstead.  The judges were Peter Joyce and Rhian Bagshaw.

Band 1 (Guildford District): good rhythm, inconsistent leads, improved as it went, no method mistakes. 43 faults.

Band 2 (Leatherhead District): some hesitations but recovered, uneven leading, strong ending, last lead sounded ‘anxious’.  64 faults.

Band 3 (Chertsey District): good ringing – would have won were it not for the 6th lead when there was an ‘earthquake’, followed by ‘after shocks’ in the 7th lead.  45 faults.

Guildford District were thus declared the winners.
