The Essex Trophy striking contest is a 10-bell competition held annually between Guilds and Associations in the south east.

This year it was held on Saturday 10th September at Writtle in Essex with the following result:

1st Essex
2nd Sussex
3rd Guildford DG
4th Surrey
5th Kent
Congratulations to the Guildford band on a ‘podium finish’.
We gather that there was strong competition but we don’t have any further details.
