I’m arranging another Train the Trainer course for the evening of Friday 26th and all day Saturday 27th August, and it will be run at St Martins of Tours, Epsom.
The course consists of 3 sessions. From experience the best way to do this has been a Friday evening and all day Saturday.
The Friday evening is a foundation session dealing with safety while training, looking at delegates’ own handling styles and alternate ways of handling a bell to be used while training, and what the approved ringing style is that should be trained. This session can be attended as a stand alone unit without doing the rest of the course.
The Saturday sessions move on to training back strokes, hand strokes, putting it all together, and training raising and lowering. Delegates need to have attended the foundation session first.
The Friday evening would run from 7.30 – 9.30 pm and the Saturday sessions from 10–12:30 and 1:30–4 pm with the break for lunch.
Places are limited, so if you’re interested, or know of someone else in your tower who is, please let me know as soon as possible. If you’re interested in attending but are unable to make these dates please also let me know so I can look at future dates.
From previous courses we have a number of people who are now training competently on their own, or are at least comfortable in supporting training.
